The peacock is the national bird of India. Referenced continually in the Hindu scriptures, the peacock is viewed as fortuitous. In the sacred text of Ramayana, peacock saves the life of Indra by spreading his feathers to shield him against the evil Ravana. For this reason, the peacock is considered to be a bird of protection - even safeguarding the psychic self to bring harmony to mind and spirit. As a gift for peacock’s protection, Indra replaces his dull feathers with a resplendent plume of a “thousand eyes”. The peacock’s feathers represent not only divine wisdom but also the beauty and richness of life. The peacock depicted in this beading was inspired by Mor Chowk, or Peacock Court, at City Palace in Udaipur.

Returns: We gladly accept returns and exchanges within 15 business days of the delivery date.
In accordance with the general condition of sale, only items returned in their original and complete state will be accepted.
Return shipping charge is complementary only if the order is non-compliant. In all other cases, this charge will be deducted from your reimbursement.
