Sri Yantra is one of the earliest and most powerful examples of sacred geometry. Sri Yantra, which in Sanskrit translates as “revered instrument”, is meant to be used for meditation and contemplation to support spiritual transformation. Formed by nine interlocking triangles that in turn create 43 smaller triangles, Sri Yantra is representative of the entire cosmos. Its center point, or Bindu, symbolizes the creation of the Universe. Ultimately, Sri Yantra depicts universal harmony in its divine union of masculine (Shiva) and feminine (Shakti) energy. Simply gazing at this mystical yantra can raise one’s consciousness.
